The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates with the capital Abu Dhabi. In 2025, 951,447 passengers flew there from Germany, ranking 25th of 211 destination countries (own analysis of Destatis table 46421-09); a good four out of five landed at Dubai International. Payment is in dirham (AED), and in the German winter it is three hours later there. Three sites are on UNESCO's World Heritage List, most recently Wadi Wurayah in Fujairah in 2026. Since June 2026 the first passenger trains have run between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah. The rules on entry, safety and health are set out by the German Foreign Office.
