In 2025, with 1,010,283 passengers from the main German airports, Dublin ranked 18th among all destinations abroad, with the most passengers in August and the fewest in January (German Federal Statistical Office, months: own analysis). The airport lies 10 km north of the city. No train goes there, but buses such as Dublin Express do, according to the operator every 7.5 minutes and from €9 online. Because of the Irish EU Council presidency, Dublin Castle and the Chester Beatty are closed until the end of 2026. The four sites of the National Museum charge no admission.
