In 2025, Singapore ranked 45th of 211 destination countries abroad: 385,208 passengers flew there from the main German airports, almost all to Changi (German Federal Statistical Office, own analysis). The most important departure airports were Frankfurt and Munich. The only World Heritage Site is the Botanic Gardens (since 2015), and UNESCO has counted the hawker culture of the street-food centres as intangible cultural heritage since 2020. Payment is in Singapore dollars, and the clocks are 7 hours ahead in the German winter. The rules on entry, safety and health are set out by the German Foreign Office.
