In 2025, 785,119 passengers flew from the main German airports to Bangkok, ranking 32nd among all destinations abroad; almost all landed at Suvarnabhumi (German Federal Statistical Office, rank and total of both airports: own analysis). From there the Airport Rail Link takes at most 30 minutes to Phaya Thai, for 15 to 45 baht (as of July 2023). With about 10 million inhabitants, Bangkok accounts for around 15 per cent of Thailand's population. According to the weather service, the rainy season runs from mid-May to mid-October, with September the wettest month.
